Heavy-Duty Lubricant Selection Checklist
Correct lubricant selection protects engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems while reducing unplanned maintenance. Use this checklist before requesting a quotation.
1. Confirm the application
Identify whether the oil is for a diesel engine, heavy-duty gearbox, axle or hydraulic system. Different systems require different additive packages and performance standards.
2. Check the required standard
- CK-4, CI-4 or CH-4 for heavy-duty diesel engines
- GL-5 85W-90 for suitable heavy-load gear systems
- HM-46 for compatible hydraulic equipment
3. Match viscosity to the environment
Consider ambient temperature, load, operating hours and cold-start conditions. Always follow the equipment manufacturer manual when it specifies a grade.
4. Verify packaging and supply
Confirm package size, quantity, label language, pallet requirements and destination port. Ask for product specifications and available quality documents before shipment.
5. Send a complete inquiry
Provide equipment model, required grade, viscosity, quantity and destination. This allows a faster and more accurate recommendation.
